2026 Midterms, Nov 3: what's legal, live market prices and state limits →
Editorial Team

Matt, SBS Editor

Matt edits Sportsbooks by State and reviews every state guide, product guide and legalization update before it goes live.

What Matt reviews

Each state page is checked against three sources before it is published or changed: the state regulator's list of licensed operators, the law that governs betting in that state, and the operators' own published state lists. When a law changes, an operator launches or exits, or a reader reports an error, Matt reviews the affected pages, and each page's Updated date moves only when its content actually changes.

Editorial standards

  • Every state page names its regulator and the law that governs betting there, with links to the official source.
  • Affiliate relationships never decide a state's legal status or which operators we list.
  • Pages about prediction markets never show sportsbook odds or price comparisons.
  • Corrections are made openly: the page changes and its Updated date moves.
